Hinduism:-

Hinduism is the oldest living organized religion in the world, dating from a time between 2000 and 1500 B.C. From its beginnings to the present time it has been changing and growing so that few of the beliefs and doctrines of the earliest Hinduism are accepted in their original from by its adherents today. Hinduism differ widely in their beliefs about theological matters while remaining Hindus all the same. Several attempts have been made to reform Hinduism. The reforms movements spearheaded by a great many leaders however have had little or no effect upon the vast stream of the religion.

Islam:-

Islam is one of the world's most widespread religions. It is one of the world's great religion, dating from the Hegira, or flight of the Prophet from Mecca in 622 A.D. Mohammed, its founder was born in 570 A.D. at Mecca, the chief of Arabia. Mecca became the hub of a great wheel of Mohammedan faith from which spokes radiated in every direction.

Jainism:-

Hinduism was, in its earlier phases, dominated by unalterable caste distinctions, animal sacrifice, and other primitive practices. these offended a great many sensitive people in India who eventually sought for reforms. Jainism was the first organized effort to effect such reform.

Christianity:-

Christianity grew out of Judaism and the Christians claim many of the Jewish sacred writings as their own. The christian Bible contains both the Old Testament and the New Testament, while many editions of the Bible also include the books of the Apocrypha. The Christians Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, was a Jew steeped in Jewish tradition and culture. The next step for Jesus and his followers was to break away from the narrow nationalism of the Judaism of the past and to carry the high ethical idealism of the greatest of the prophets to all people, whether Jew or non-Jew. Christianity, growing out of the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, developed into a religious movement in the Roman Empire. Its missionary activities have carried it to all parts of the globe, civilized and un civilized.

Buddhism:-

Buddhism, at least in its earliest stages, could not be called a religion in the true sense of the term. Founded by Gautama (B.C. 563-483),son of a rich Hindu rajah of the Sakya clan, it was merely a system of morality and philosophy based on the belief that life was too full of suffering to be worth living. For a long time its principles and moral code appealed to people of varied religious beliefs. Then, gradually, Gautama was defied as the Buddha, or the "Enlightened One". Miracle stories grew up about his life, and what was originally an important system of morals and philosophic thought became a religion.

Sikhism:-

Sikhism is among the most modern of great living religions. Its founder, Nanak, lived between 1469 and 1538 A.D. in a province of Punjab in India. Though it has a small number of adherents and was founded during modern times, Sikhism has exerted considerable influence upon the religious life of the East.
