The begining of English Drama

Drama of the Theatre is not like sculpture or painting or petry , a 'pure' art capable of being brought into existance by a single impulse and carring the impress of a single mind . Dram is rather an orchestraion of a number of distinct art of which litrature is but one. If or evans calls the drama 'a multiple art using words, science, effects, emotions, music, the gestures of the actors , and orgnizing talent of producer' . The intrval between the original conception in the mind of the playwright nad the final consummation at the hands of producer, actors, stage designer, and many other on a stage may stretch across the edges. That is why play written for acient greek theatre are still capable of affording pleasure in the modern theatre.

In a nutshell a drama may be degfine as 'as articulate story presented in action'. Hence the hallmark of drama is that the story must articulate, it must also be in action. This is what constitute drama.
