Waist has a special place in determining overall aesthetic appeal, especially as it is strategically situated between the bust and the hips-neither of which can be judged Without taking into consideration the slenderness of the waist. Tick-waisted women have difficulty even in walking, sitting down and standing Up.one can find several reference and odes to beautiful waist in both Indian and western Literature.when comparing the body structure of the sexes, one can see that the pelvis or the hip is broader in women as compared to men.The slenderness of the waist is judged Takignthe complet body structure and height into account. If a tall woman has a very thin Waist, she tends to stoop, and he waist is also affected.If,on the other hand, the hip-bones Are strong and well in developed, the waist automatically looks slender comparison.To Attain a perfect waist, it is imperative that you avoid putting on too much flesh on the abdomen and hips, as this will then gradually gravitate to the waist.The commenestcause Of obesity is careless eating habits. So always watch what you eat, especiallywhen it comes to sweets and fatrich foods.it is not advisable to try unnatural methods to attain a Slim waist. This could be injurious to the health as was established from practical Experience in the west.E ducated and enlightened people should avoid being duped into attempting to achieve a slim waist by unnatural methods. There are safer ways which include regular exercise , olive oil massages after childbirth,1to2 km walks in morning And evening skipping etc. According to a well- known health expert, swimming , long distance running and evwen routine household activities such as using a manual grindstone(chakkl),drawing water from a well and dancing,work miracles in making the waist slender, supple, flexible and beautiful. Ayurveda recommends milk and jalebis for a trim figure and a silm waist Taking papayas regularly is also said to be tremendously efficacious in beautifying the waist.wearing heavy silver ornamnents or key bunches is said to be harmful to the posture. Likewise, using very high pillows while sleeping also makes the waist crooked and weak.use pillow which are up to 3-4 inches thick and see that they are soft .Matresses,,on the hand ,should be frim and one should use only a hard bed. Here are some exercise to help you attain a perfect waist. 1.Lie on your back on the floor with your legs stretched straight.put your hands under your buttocks (plam facing the floor).Now ,gradually raise your legs and try to touch your forehead with your toes.remain in this position for a few moments and then return your legs to the original position.Repeat this 5 times.You will not be able to do this completely in the beginning ,so gradually reduce the distance between your toes and forehead. Don't be hasty in this matter. Be persistent. 2.Lie on your back on the floor, put your hands under your head and interlace the finger. Now,raise your legs in the air and pedal them brickly as though you areriding a bicycle. 3.Take a 2-meter-long stick and place it on your shoulders across the back of your neck twins your name arms around both the ends,with the stick securely in position, try to bend as far forward as possible (from the waist).Return to an upright position after a few moments and bends slowly backward as far as you can go. Return to an upringht positon and repeat the same movements on the left and right sides. Repeat 5times. 4.Lie flat on your back. Filt your legs up in the air simultaneously raise your head and stretching your arms out, trie to touch your toes with your finger tips. In this exercise your waist takes the weight of your whole body .repeat 5 times. 5Stand erect with your feet together.raise your armsstraight above your head and join the plams of your hands together. In this position ,bends from the waist as far to the right as possible and exhale.Retain this position for few moments and return to the erect position.Inhale and repeat the same movement on the left.Repeat 5times. 6.Stand erectwith feet wide apart. Bending forward from the waist, touch your left toe with your right hand while raising your left arm straight above your head.Repeat with your left hand , this time touching your right toe, and raising your right arm above your head. Return to erect position.Repeat 5 times. As stated earlier ,you will not be able to do thses excercises completely, if you are not accustomed to doing them. So begin gradually ,and strech yourself to the extend you can do comfortably.Doing it gradually yet persistently ,should be your watch word. |
